Who's That?

Looks like a teen at his boxing class, right?
Well yes, but it's also an Honour Roll Student at boxing class.
Way to go E!

I forgot to post these pictures from our snowshoe adventure on Family Day.

All Hockey All the Time

From Far and Wide ...
... well from Ottawa to Oshawa at least ....
We came for hockey!

By the time the weekend was up we'd seen 11 games.

For most of the weekend we all spread out to the different venues and overlapping games.

But when it came to the final game ... the Gold Medal game ...... we were all in the same place.
(Congratulations D for your win.)

It was A's first out of town tournament and he really rose to the occasion.
And as luck would have it he was able to play in a game against his best friend.
See the picture on the right? That's them.

The best part, in my opinion, was watching the boys watch each other play.

Seeing A's team win a game was a highlight too. ;-)

Snow Games

I'm pretty much over the snow ...... tired of shoveling it, driving on it, and looking at it.
But occasionally it redeems itself .... with a nice fluffy accumulation of fun.

Day Camp

They planned and packed and off they went to the wild (or rather a piece of property out by Renfrew).

They used the snow shoes to get in and then dug out a shelter in the snow.

It was much more comfortable once they got a fire going ....

... cooked some hotdogs and chili and beans in a can ....

... and enjoyed their camp site.

More

This post's goofy picture brought to you courtesy of shopping with E.

Uncle J sent this great set for A to put together for Science.
It requires a lot of precision work.
(And for the old man of the house it requires a magnifying glass to see the part labels.)

After being shown the soldering process A has been on his own to put it together.
Final product to come.
In the Outdoor Skills class that A takes they built a teepee.
This week they had a fire and enjoyed their work.
