Guess Who's Here???
She has finally arrived. The kids are excited. For poor Grandma Deirdre there won't be a quiet moment in the next two weeks.

Hallowe'en Preparations
Well, E has already told me what he wants to be for Hallowe'en but I'm not letting the cat out of the bag until then. It should be quite fun. But A is still at my mercy until he can talk. I found the perfect costume for him today at Value Village for $6.99. It is originally from the Disney Store so I think I got a pretty good deal. Check out the picture. I'm hoping he learns to love it before the big day!!!!

Sleepy Boys
The boys were tired yesterday as they both have colds and didn't have naps. Sometimes I forget that they will not stop during the day if there is any fun going on. Needless to say, A didn't make it to his regular bedtime. This is him at the table waiting for the pizza to come out of the oven. E didn't fair much better, he ate one piece of pizza and said, "I think it's time for bed now". They were both asleep by 7:00p.m.; a rare occurence around here.

The Case of the Missing Train
There was a little bit of drama here in the burbs this weekend. Percy the train went missing. We launched a full scale search(and by that I mean I looked and looked and looked and E fretted and fretted and fretted). Luckily last night he was found; in the garage in a bag with his park diggers. Whew!!! Everyone can rest easy now. I have included a picture of E being reunited with Percy and one of A just being cute.

Our Weekend Trip
As many of you know there were four babies born into the family last summer. This weekend we went down and had a picture taken of all the kids now that they're one year old. The kids had SO much fun. Thanks for hosting Donna.

Our Family Pet
Well we have decided on a family pet or rather a family pet has decided on us. I mentioned the fly in an earlier post, well he has stayed on with us and E calls him 'friend fly'. Amazingly we see him every meal and I have included some pictures of him enjoying a meal with us....look carefully. He tends to prefer a view of the table from above. hehe

Further to Rat
We're a little worried that A might be too young as he tried to pull the rat's tail in the store. Apparently though they will take a lot of handling and pretty much never bite. Surprisingly they were quite cute. I have to say though that we have not had a great response thus far from family hehehe
Luckily we have a pet fly right now that is keeping E quite happy. It came in the house a few weeks ago and it meets us at the kitchen table for every meal and E has taken to putting a piece of his food out for it from each meal. It was quite exciting the other morning when we had waffles and the fly had some syrup and then sat on E's plate and 'washed' his hands. We watched for quite some time.
It's so fun to be home with the boys !!!!!!!

Snow in August??
Well we had snow here on Sodor Island yesterday....E loves to play with his trains in the "snow"(flour) and spent all afternoon in the backyard. I'm sure today will be the same since last night on their ice cream sundae trip Granny and Grandad got him some "coal dust"(poppy seeds). I want him to enjoy it because soon enough there will be REAL snow on the ground and we won't be outside as often.
