E brag post

So I think all of you know that I am teaching E to play the violin. He is steadily learning. Here is a picture of him the other day practicing.


Then on Saturday morning M and I were upstairs with A and E came down by myself. He said he was making breakfast. We figured...whatever. Anyway, when we came down a few minutes later he had in fact made the whole family breakfast. Four bowls of cereal, four spoons, four glasses of juice........he's awesome...that's the first meal I haven't cooked in the house here for over a month at least............

Friday Skating

We went skating this morning with E's friend I. The ice was almost completely empty of other people and the kids had a lot of fun.

Museum Playdate

We had a playdate today with Cousins D and Little A at the dinosaur museum. The bird exhibit is open now and there is a very fun place to play up there, that's where the photos were taken.

Then when we got home we made a dinosaur nest....the eggs should hatch soon.

More my speed

Today was a little more my speed. E and I went to his skating lessons this a.m. while A played in the stands with Grnny. Then we went to Chptrs and checked out the children's section and then hit Strbucks for a drink.

Why so tired?

I just found myself asking this question of myself. I considered maybe the weather, the lack of outside time today, the lack of good sleep in the last week and varied other ideas.....then I walked into the kitchen to cross something off my monday 'to do' list and realized I may have found the problem.

My Monday 'to-do' list(all completed items in bold)

1. Complete paperwork for insurance company for A's prescriptions
2. To Dollr Store to get stuff for blessing bag for mission up in N.Quebc
3. To Grocery Store-milk, bread, blah blah
4. Clean Bathrooms x 3
5. Wash Kids Sheets and remake beds
6. To Playgroup with boys- 9:30-11:00
7. Empty dishwasher/load dishwasher
8. Fold laundry x 3
9. Make Dinner-meatpie

I think I'll read a bit while the kids play.....before starting dinner of course.

Duck sounds

M was teaching A what sounds a duck makes and it was so adorable we had to share. Enjoy

Sledding and Skating

The weather here today was fantastic so instead of a museum day as we had planned we went outside. We took the kids to the sledding hill and outdoor skating at the same park. They LOVE being outside. After two hours they still hadn't asked to leave but we went home. It's nice as there is a shack there where you can take a little break and drink some hot chocolate.

Valentine Cousins

I thought this one of K and E was particularly sweet. E has been wearing that Spdrmn outfit now for 4 or 5 days straight! (I wash it at night)

how cold is it?

It's so cold in the capital today that E complained his puppy was cold outside. So.....I crocheted it a sweater while A was napping.

They say it's his Birthday-Updated

Well it's 'daddy's' birthday today. A is upstairs napping and E is down here helping me get tonight's decorations ready for our family pizza party. Lucky daddy had two bday celebrations....last night with the whole crowd and tonight with just us. More pics later.

Adam is very interested in Diego right now. It's Dora's cousin who has his own show....I will try to get a video of him dancing to the theme song it's a hoot.

A Quiet Moment

Dinner on the Africn Plain

A was surprised to sit down to dinner and see that we were eating on the Africn Plain. Many animals had come to eat at E's hotdog and macncheese valley.

Museum

Last week we visited the museum. The boys started their day with a chocolate and fruit fondue.
Then E got a lesson in where we are in the world. A spent a lot of time at the exhibit where the balls go 'down the drain'. The best vantage point was from the top of course.
