I let the kids know that they needed to tidy up the basement before bed and they got right to work. M and I were down here doing other things. Soon enough it was clean. However, later when we went into the backroom we found that A had found an unusual place to put the items he was responsible for picking up. He just opened the backroom door and hurled them all in!

Yummy
We went strawberry picking yesterday after church. The kids had an absolute blast and daddy insisted on stopping to buy cream afterwards so we could enjoy them the way he had them when he was little at his Nan's house. Fresh strawberries definitely taste better!
Then the boys watched a movie while I went to have my bath. Don't they look sweet all cuddled in together.......like a little pile of puppies.

First Day---Last Day
First Day-September 7
Last Day-June 25
Well the year is done. It was a hard one for both of us. I was not really ready to let go and E was not interested in giving up precious playtime. But we perservered......kind of......he had 52 absences this year(eek!) But he did very well on his report card. He is pleased the year is done and so am I. Tomorrow a.m. we are heading up to Grnny's trailer for a quick visit then back to the city for Friday morning.
I have to admit that I am mourning the loss of our 'out of the city' escape. It's been one of the hardest things to let go of with the upcoming move. But from what I've heard God has some pretty places down South of the Border also.

Uncle Jay
The boys were lucky that at the end of their visit with Nana they had a visit from Uncle Jay and Auntie 'Liz. We have been hearing so much about how STRONG Uncle Jay is......it's so funny. Apparently he is the strongest man in the world! I think daddy has felt the challenge....good thing J isn't here or the kids would probably make them wrestle!

A Picture Says How Many Words?
This is the lobby of the resort. Here I have fallen asleep waiting for the orientation to start.
Here M is exploring the beach the first day and here I am asleep.
Then we rented a speed boat and M did the driving.
We drive out to a snorkelling platform and did a little swimming around. In the deep water!!!
We biked to this great other beach.
Sometimes we had to cover up so as to escape the hot sun. And us at dinner.
Our flippers. We went snorkelling three times while we were there.
I'm proud that I went snorkelling so there are lots of these shots.
This is the pool outside our room.
I was looking for seashells. M with his scotch and a cigar.....now this is the life!

What a Weekend
First we spent Saturday out having some fun with the hose in the front yard.
Unfortunately the boys got a bit burned.
As per requested our guests were kind enough to bring donations for the FoodBank instead of presents. We will be able to drop off a great big bunch of food to the foodbank. Yahoo!!!
