Some Pics
The boys and I were excited to watch a storm blow in. It was the weirdest thing. There was no wind and no rain but lightning everywhere!!!
And this morning we did some doughnut math. If there are eight powdered doughnuts and four family members how many does each person get? (The correct answer is mommy gets three.)

The Train, The Barber and The List
The kids and I went to the Metro and we had a really good time EXCEPT that our train ride lasted a lot longer than we expected and by the end of the ride they were pretty tired.
Then the next day we took them to a barber and they got the cutest haircuts. So of course I had to take a bunch of adorable photos.

And right now E is busy working on a list of things to do for us this Sunday. A boy after my own heart.....making a list.

Better
So yesterday was a bit of a challenge. M went back to work and the kids and I were really in battle mode with each other.
However, today is going much better. The kids seem a bit more settled(though they do keep asking if we live here now). We zipped over to the park for a play. I didn't meet any mommies yet but there were some very nice nannies there.
P.S.I grabbed a card from our bread for the soul thing this morning and it said; "The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." -Psalm 18:28b That helped me take on the day with the right attitude!

Move Day
Hotel Living
So we are in the hotel one more night. Tomorrow after breakfast we are moving into the house for good!!! We are all looking forward to it. We got SO much accomplished today I'm very proud of us.....the boys were awesome. We had a babysitter from 9-3 so they had fun and then the rest of the time they just hung out and played with toys newly unpacked and boxes as hiding places.

Tips For Travelling
1. Don't pack 25 different movies to keep them amused because they will just watch the same one over and over for 12 hours.
2. Coat the children's hands with glue after putting them into carseats so you won't have to retrieve toys, water bottle lids, and snacks every 2 minutes from the floor of the van.
3. Tether children's feet to the base of carseat to stop kicking.
4. Realize ahead of time that regardless of what restaurant you choose-every children's menu is the same and they won't want any of it-but will scream hunger immediately after you have paid for the meal they didn't eat.
5. Instructions given to children are not-transferable. For example: "Do not climb under the restaurant table" must be explained for each table at each restaurant for each child. Or: "Do not roll your toy cars on the lobby floor" must be explained anew every day, each time the lobby is passed through on the way in and on the way out to each child.
Keep these things in mind and all members of your family can have a great time!!

Now For Pics
Moving Day
This is us stopping at the Pennsyvania border to have a bike ride. There was a surprising amount of construction and traffic through Pennsylvania.
This is the city hall for our adopted city.
We got our keys....we got our parking permit for the moving truck on Monday......we got the bank/fax done for the embassy. It was a productive day. Tomorrow we need to get a cell phone, confirm our utilities are set for Monday and visit the house again to decide on the furniture placement. Once the movers put it on a floor it HAS to stay there so we'd better be sure!

At The Hotel
What this pic fails to portray is how freezing(!) the water was. Brrrr!! We didn't stay in long. A wants to know why we aren't sleeping at our house...guess it's all coming real to him now.
