Sure could have used a good Bos' n
So thank you to J and the boys for all of their understanding in the four day ordeal that was painting the hull of Jema. It was an arduous process that really could have used the hands of a skilled bos n with about three years service!!! Do you hear me Json? Anyway, got the boat out, sanded it by hand, primed it and painted it. Here are the pics.
Sanded hull 1x Coat of primer
2x Coats of anti-fouling paint with anti-slime ingredients (Very important)

A GrndmaDrdre Day
It started at the park. We were playing StrWars with our lightsabres and I asked for a break. That's when A informed me that GrndmaDrdre should be there because she always plays lightsabres.
Then we went to the pool with daddy for a cool down swim. Problem was an hour later when M was ready to go back and do a second coat of paint on the boat....the kids weren't ready to go. So he left and we stayed. For another two hours. I definitely think GrndmaDrdre would have enjoyed that!

Our Space
Those who know me, know that I like things tidy. I have tried to get the kids to not bring their toys into the room off the kitchen but in Eric's words, "That's not going to work for them." As a compromise for their toys being in this room I have decided that before dinner they need to help me tidy up the area.
There are so many things to do in this area. We visited GeorgWashngton's RivrFarm on Thursday. It was interesting but not my favourite place we've been.
We had an extra special surpise today. We heard last night that someone M was in Afghnstan with was going to be in town with his family for the day. We were so tickled to have them over for dinner and a visit.

I'm Raising RodandTodd :-)
I missed the first part of this conversation but here's the part I heard.
A: I love you all the way to G-d and back.
E: Ya, but you don't love me more than you love G-d.
A: Yes I do. I love you and mommy and daddy the same as G-d.
E: You can't!! You're not supposed to. You're supposed to love G-d the most.
A: Ma-Ma!!! E says I can't love you as much as I love G-d but I do!!
E: It's true mama he can't.
J: O.k. We all love each other as much as we can and G-d understands.
Who Knew?
New friends that we made at church invited us over for dinner. They wanted to introduce us to the Southern classic of biscuits with sausage and gravy and grits. Although I went thinking it would be yucky it was so yummy. Definitely I would have it again.
The kids also got to swim in their pool and have a play with their two little girls. They even caught some fireflies when the sun started to go down! A good time was had by all.

Practically Live Feed
Getting ready this a.m. E suggested that A could dress like him today. That sounded good to A so they were matchy matchy. A was so proud to be like his brother.
He's just a bundle of enthusiasm isn't he?? haha
This is video from E's concert today.
It's always interesting to see my kids in a large group. It's always surprising to me that all those other parents can look at a crowd and only see their kid just as I look at a crowd and see only mine.
