We went to a birthday party yesterday and the kids had a blast. We didn't know what to expect but when we got there.....there was a bouncer room...

Nice Day

M had yesterday off so we went out for a bit of a walk.
A nice lady on the pier took our family pic.

There is a visitors centre there with dress up clothes.

The Rolling Thunder event is this weekend. And there are some very cool motorbikes around.

Kitch Kitch Kachoo

In my ongoing battle to find homes for all the L_E_G_O I have made some changes to the livingroom again. I purchased this bookcase second hand($15) and have made a toy corner in the room. Now, hypothetically at least, the toys have somewhere to go when they are not all over the floor.

When I was little I used to listen to this song over and over. It had (almost) my name in it!! I wanted to keep the record in a way that I could see it and decided a bowl was the way to go. I am going to put it on my dresser to hold little things. For a giggle....check out this video of the song.

It's A Scorcher

It was so hot here yesterday.....and we had soccer. Our last two games of the season.

Before heading to soccer we met some friends for lunch.

And Grnny sent the boys L_E_G_O sets. E got all his pieces laid out before he started building.

Today

I used the new french bread pan I purchased and made two loaves of the yummiest bread...

The boys and I were happy to have some friends over today. We walked down and fed the ducks.

E wanted to entertain the baby.

A made these plates in SundaySchool this week. They have grain on them. They really match the wallpaper well.

I've Got Good News and Bad News

If you're a good news first kind of person start here.

1.My friend who lost her job....got a new job!

2.We have a new computer.

3.I had a relaxing Saturday to myself when the boys went out yesterday afternoon.

If you're a bad news first kind of person start here.

1.Our computer died again and we lost another month of pictures and painfully recovered data from the last crash.

2.I got a haircut on Saturday and I don't like it.

3.The marina said they can't look at our boat for a couple of weeks....so we're landlubbers for the foreseeable future.

And just for fun.....here are the pics of A's new haircut. He asked....and daddy delivered. I love it.

The boys talked me into driving them out to the L_E_G_O store again and they spent the rest of the money that Nana sent them. And they put these sets together themselves too!!

The academic testing is finally over. There was a BBQ at the community centre to celebrate.

And at long last M and I agreed on a set of dishes to replace our old set.....yahoo!

Nana had given the boys some money and A was ready to do some spending. So off to Trgt.

Here he is in the van with his new purchase. He and E came home and put the whole thing together by themselves....very impressive.

The Whole Story

So Nana took the kids to the park on Sat. morning.

While M and I replaced the starter on the boat....no problem.

M and the boys drove the boat up to the house....beautiful day.

Nothing like relaxing on the boat.

But wait....why does M look so worried? The boat is leaking....not good.

After a late night drive back to the base to take the boat out of the water...the boys were TIRED.

We took advantage of the great weather to visit the National Cathedral.

There are a number of chapels in the building.

There's some beautiful views from the 7th Floor observation area.

When A saw Nana in prayer he knelt down beside her.
