The day started out nice and lazy.
The camera was grabbed by A.
We spent some time with the chipmunks.
But we had heard that a nearby nature park, Gillies Grove, was the home of Ontario's tallest tree.
Only a 15 minute drive away and so much to see.
There was a gentle breeze that did a great job of keeping the bugs away while we hiked.
And then through the trees we spotted some water.
No more pictures from that part of the adventure though ..... we hadn't worn our bathing suits.
It didn't keep us out of the water .... but it did keep the cover on the camera lens!
Bonus Points for anyone who can identify what this critter is.
I'll give you a hint: it was in the water when we found it.
It uses a 'jet propulsion' system, pushing water out it's backside, to move in the water.
