Show and Tell

I started this project in October, took a break in December for Christmas, and again most of January while I was feeling ill. 

But at long last ..... E's room. 

He chose the colours and, thanks to Grnny's help, all the painting was finished today. 

Just outside his room, there's a downstairs relaxing space. 

I'm not wild about this couch here but for now it will suffice. 

This is an area I had envisioned doing differently. But, having an open unfinished area was making A super happy. 

So, had a couple of appliances moved and hung a net.

Which worked out nicely for me because now the washer/dryer are upstairs.

And, the second of our trio of theatre tickets for the year. Fabulous show. 

Shinny

You remember that day we didn't have hockey?

Ya, we used one of them to play shinny.

But look at those smiles!!

I Try Not to Make It All About Hockey

There's a fantastic group of really committed ladies that coordinate activities for one of A's groups.

Week 3 of the Greek Unit the kids had a feast!

Three Hockey Tournaments on three consecutive weekends, you'd think interest would start to wane.
But apparently not, still a big crowd turn out for the games.
Even the early morning ones....shudder.
 

Of course, when they're not at one of their hockey games/practices they have time to hit the outdoor rinks.

How much hockey you ask?
Well, in 32 days we have 29 hockey practices/games.
And, I'm sure there are people out there doing more hockey than us!!

What's With the Bird?

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, the bird decides to spend some time with the dog. 

Funny little thing. 

Home Freezing Home

We drove, shuttled, flew and taxied ...

And now we're home.

Fun Stuff

So many smiles and giggles this week. 

And these three ... went jet-skiing.

Later, M&A went parasailing. 

What's Fun?

Pools are fun.

Cousins on a lizard hunt are fun.

Luckily, CousinE is here to catch lots of lizards for them.

Christmas morning is fun.

Beaches are fun.

And photobombing your brother's picture is definitely fun.

Air and Space

It seems that A has outgrown some of his regular activities at the Air/Space Museum.

Luckily, there are still a lot of exhibits he's interested in. 

After a week of visiting Charlie has decided to cautiously make nice.

This won't be an every game thing, but it was great to see them play together. 

New Space

I'm almost done the changes to the basement that were required when E moved his bedroom down there. 

There's a new space for the boys to use now and they've quickly come to a decision as to its use.
