Soccer

This is the 2nd time Adm has played in goal.
He likes it ... but it stresses me out.


I don't remember seeing this goalie move before. Stay focused!

We squeezed in another visit to the butterflies at the museum while we were there to see the pterosaur exhibit.

He's licensed!!

Four Times Fourteen

It's not that we needed a reason to all get together ...

...but, in the summer of 2005 4 babies were born into the family ...

.. and we got them together after the 1st year...

... and again at their 2nd year.

But then, life happened and 12 years went by.

Wow! 14 years old. 

It was a great reason to spend the weekend together camping. 

And there's a whole new crop of littles to play with, and catch frogs with and ... 

...swim with. 

Onward

And, in a short 733 days....his command is over.

We're as happy to see him come home, as they were sad to see him go.

14!!

As soon as I saw him I could see that he was strong and perfectly himself.

He's been the source of much joy.

And now, he's 14!!

Now Soccer

Here's something new for us. 'A' joined the local soccer team.

Tonight was his first game and you'll never believe whose team they were playing .... 

his cousin's!!

I'll just take this moment to say how happy I am that we aren't moving this summer.
There's A with a teammate (a good friend) and his dad as coach (and also A's school counselor next year), being assisted in coaching but none other than .... E.
There's also three kids from hockey last year and a bunch of other kids he knows from the neighbourhood. Sticking around the same place has its benefits.

He's been 100% himself since day one.

 He's the strongest person I've ever met. 

And now .... he's 16.

With help from the boys and a lot(!!) of gardening guidance from Heather it was two days work.

This space was created when one of the many too many trees came down.

Although the weather isn't acting like it's Spring....

E is playing a Spring sport ....
