Thursday

It's that time of year.

This is the first year that E has done his pumpkin ALL on his own.

A musical break brought to you by the other brother.

On holiday Monday we planned to go to the zoo. Problem: we couldn't get parking!! So we changed plans. M went to the InternationalSpyMuseum. The kids and I went to two parks.

Saturday/Sunday

The boys watched a lady who was throwing a pot at the Torpedo Factory art fair.
And they got to help make a papier-mache alligator.

Some great friends joined us for the day and we had ice cream while we were out.

It was not a straight line to walk home....we took the long way.

Then the fun started. They were determined to climb this tree.

They tried many different strategies.

Alas my patience ran out and they had to abandon their efforts.Where was daddy you ask? He had a daddy's day out somewhere fun.
After church on Sunday we met friends for lunch. (They had family in town that they wanted to introduce.) Great people doing great work.

It's Fun When Daddy's Home

M had Friday off work so after finishing our school work and going to gymnastics we went to OG for lunch.

And at 4p.m. we saw a performance by CirquedeSoleil called, Ovo.

Back at the Zoo

Lovin' the cutie on the bear.

Here's my other cutie....also on a bear.

This creepy bug art is made of bugs.

Cool critter.

A was loving the reptile building today.
And I asked E to snap a pic of me too.
We saw a vulture for the first time today.

And the otters.

The kids practiced their flying sidekicks today.
Check out A. See how far his foot is from the ground?

And here's E. He's getting dangerously good.

The boys were thrilled to see some dear friends from out of town.

The boys were having a discussion about my 'face'. I asked them what this 'face' looked like exactly. Here's their examples of it.
And here's E's face when he's still at the table doing work and his brother is already done and playing.

A took this pic using the timer on my camera.

Goofin' around at the library.

This was the kids second gymnastics class.

This may look like gymnastics but it's not. It's the kids wrestling in the post office.
(We had to go and mail a certain someone in Romania a certain something.)

E found a piano at the Cstco and wanted to give it a try. He didn't seem shy about playing in public at all.
And the walk home from church and the lunch.
It's sweater weather today.
