Bubba turned 60 today......we had some bday festivities planned. We went to see a movie and M made us a great BBQ dinner...then we had chocolate fisherman cake. We played a new fishing game we bought and then played pin the worm on the hook. Check out the videos.......

So Cute
For the first time E asked me if he could make a Christmas list. I'm not sure how I feel about it. But in the spirit of maintaining traditions I told him it was a great idea. It is so neat to look at. I think I will put it in his baby book. I have typed in the words he was trying to spell in case you have trouble reading them.

New Stuff
This is the cutest pic of M, with his little buddy, making the best currychckn EVER!! Seriously if anyone wants the recipe let me know.
This is the boys playing the new Thms game we just bought today. A had seen it in a magazine and really wanted it. It's pretty fun and can be played quickly and easily.....it's a little too juvenile for E but he reads the cards to A so he stays interested.

Aaaahhhhhh!
Did you ever have one of those days where it all came together? When M and I started our family he assured me we would be having two boys(he was right). In the early early days I would try to imagine what that would look like.
We have been parents now for about 1950 days(parents of two for about 1230 days). It has been lots of fun and excitement but hasn't normally matched up with what I imagined it would be.
This morning was one of those days when it has been just like I imagined it would be. We all had breakfast together.....(after I slept in).....the boys are playing together in the playroom......I can hear the giggles and imaginary play from where I sit on the couch with Michael while he reads the newspaper.......
It seems these days come along about one in every 1950 days so I am going to go and enjoy it.

Too Much Info Too Soon
I told the kids last week that GrndpTrry and GrndmDrdre were coming for a visit at the end of the month.....BIG mistake. They have been asking me every day if THIS is the day that they are going to be here. I even have it on the calendar and every day I show them the date and remind them when their guests will be arriving but it doesn't stick......
This is a pic of A and E checking the calendar AGAIN to see how many days until GrndpTrry and GrndmDrdre arrive.

Goin' On A Road Trip
The boys had become quite insistent that they needed to see Grnny. The only way to fit that in was to meet half way. Here are some pics.
Travelling is hard work!! Even in sleep he didn't let go of those cheese puffs.

Brag Brag
E received his report card today. They only were given marks on social type things and he did very well.....although apparently he talks a lot.....who knew?? hahaha
Anyway, they also gave me a copy of his Fall of Kindrgrtn testing. It's hard to see on this picture but he totally rocked the test. I have typed the test results below.

Bird is the Word
The leaves have started changing colours and dropping their leaves. Speaking of dropping.....we still drop by our fave coffeeshop.
On Frdy A and I went down to the waterfront....he loves feeding the pigeons....he pronounces it...pitch-ins.
This is their new fave night time activity....running around in the dark(which starts at about 4:30p.m.) with glow sticks....thankfully UnclJasn left us a bunch.
This is how I did the boys dressers. Not exactly what either one of them had in mind originally but they both agreed to compromise. The second pic is of the pew that I bought to use at the dining table. It will seat 4 adults or two very wiggly kids. This last photo is of one of the houses M is working on for E's N-Scale train track. This house is 2 and 1/4 inches tall!

Kids Can Be Fun
E came out of school yesterday really excited about the election today. He suggested we make a celebration cake for the new president. So we did. (I should have used more colouring...the red is decidedly pink. And yes A made sure there were exactly 50 white stars.)
Then while they were playing on the computer with daddy I got into the L-e-g-o. Once they saw that I was trying to make a boat I got lots of advice. Apparently I had the window looking the wrong way.....and too small. I needed different lights, a satellite system and radar......also ladders and smoke stacks. With the help of my three guys we made a super tricked out boat!!!! I'm very impressed with it.
