Have We Been Vegucated?

So I was raised in a province where this was a common bumper sticker.
And I do love meat.
This is my brother-in-law. The kids think he hung the moon.
He became a vegetarian in the last year and he feels great and healthy.
While he was just here we all watched this movie together.
(There's a website too but we haven't checked that out yet. We will.)
The movie talked about the environmental concerns of mass meat production and the health benefits of going vegetarian.
But the thing that really hit the kids hard was the way that the animals were treated before being processed.
So......they decided to become vegetarians. And I'm supporting and joining them in that endeavour.
It's going to be challenge for me to cook meals without meat....but I think it's worth a try.
It all started last night with our first 'vegetarian' meal.
Updates will follow.

That's great. I hope you enjoy this lifestyle and all of the benefits attached to it and of course I hung the moon. I think as much of the boys as they do of me. Good luck on your journey. It will be a "challenge" in some stages I am sure. Good luck. Everyone benefits regardless how long it lasts.

My son keeps toying with the idea of becoming a vegetarian... twice he's declared he won't eat meat and twice he gave up the idea rather quickly...
I love that you are supporting your kids through it! I may have to ask for your fave veg recipes!

I grew up in Alberta too... :)

Let me know how it goes,

I feel like id miss out on so many amazing dishes out there and not be able to truly experience all aspects that the culinary world has to offer! I think im a foodie at heart. The staples of Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Italian food, ETC., and how can you live without Sushi?!

Ok, thought your comments needed a little opposition. hehehehehe

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
