Smiles and Smiles and Giggles

This photo group is a cautionary tale.

This is what happens when you wait until the very last minute to take a group photo.

 

However ....
... look at this collection of cuteness ... and all in one backyard.

   

 
When the weather warms up it's best to find a little shade by the water.
Kingsly seemed to enjoy himself.

  
And sweet baby Isabll enjoyed the activities .... right up until naptime that is.

  
And even though Vctoria didn't seem sure at first .... she warmed up to the idea.

   
The fun wasn't just for the little ones though.

  
Poor little peanuts .... all tuckered out.

The Sum of E

E performed in the school talent show on Thursday.
And on Friday there was an assembly for academic awards.
He received one for being on the honor roll and another for highest overall mark for his homeroom.
 
There was a slideshow at the end of the ceremony and I snapped pics of their pictures.
Though I'm going to try and get copies of the originals.

We're very proud of you.

Update

The garden is showing signs of growth.

You know it's hot when ...... you see a squirrel stretching out on the fence.

And even though school is over A still has some activities planned.

He's participated in a couple of workshops with Virtual Ventures through CarletonUniversity.

The one this Monday was on 3D design.

After saying all week that he didn't have anything special in mind for his birthday ... he came up with quite a list when the time came.

Pancakes for breakfast, card games, shopping at the comic book store, a chocolate muffin for lunch, more card games and.......the new XMen movie.
Happy Birthday A. 

Now that he's finished school and the weather is nice we've commenced summer relaxation. Aaaah......

 

And this was just us being goofy with the camera the other night.

This guy turned 13 yesterday. 

I brought pizza to him at school for lunch, there's no pictures of that because, of course, he was at school. 

And we had dinner and pie and then he went to the comic book store. 

And then we played a game, purchased on the comic book store trip, until 10:00p.m. 

And that, is what this 13year old wanted to do for his birthday.

Q: What's better than a cute kid with a cute dog?

A: A cute kid with two cute dogs.


Last night we had a rare night off from baseball.
The weather was nice and the boys wanted the guinea pigs to get some fresh air.
So .... we built a little make shift pen for them ....
 
And we all ate our dinner outside.

We traditionally eat later in the evening and having to be out of the house for 6:00 baseball games most evenings is messing with our mojo.
It was nice to be able to sit down and eat ... and talk ... and not be looking at the clock.
