It has been a terribly long time since we set up camp - tent style.
How long? Almost 10 years. (This link is from that trip.)
It was nice to have the boys help with bringing in and setting up the gear and tending the fire.
(I notice this is rare picture of A without his bug net.)
The only place of respite from the bugs was by the fire.
Needless to say, we spent most of our time there.
All things considered it was a successful camp out.
We had hoped to stay 2 nights but the bugs and the impending rain cut it short.
4 out of 4 of us want to tent camp again this summer.

Nothing better than bugs in your bacon and eggs. I remember the days when cubs/dads went on an overnighter. It was so hot, that the dads/cubs were spending time in the car with the ac on rather than enjoying the outdoors, not to mention those fiesty mosquitoes.....ah yes and now we have come full circle, with mosquito/bug nets. Everyone looking great out there....love to everyone...Grampy P
