More on the Snow

Seeing as how I have been subjected to constant snow coverage since Friday I think it is only fair that you must see at least two blog posts about the storm. Here's #2.

Lots of smiles from our two....they are loving the snow.

The measurement is in....our courtyard saw 21.5" of snow.(That's about 52cm...I think)

The schools....after having closed on Friday to prepare for the snow....will be closed tomorrow also so there can be a clean-up of the snow.

A tste of home!

Well, the blizrd of 2010 is now being referred to in the news as Snwmageddon. Some say as much as 28". But we have not yet gone outside to measure. Here are some pics of us enjoying the weather yeserday.

The kids found a holly tree that was hollowed out underneath. It became a fort and was really good for protecting us from the elements.

The snow started on Friday at about 10:00a.m. and finished Saturday evening around 7:00p.m. When we awoke this morning, here are some snaps of the courtyard.

Four Eyes

When we saw the optometrist last she mentioned that E showed slight farsightedness. She said that he did not need glasses at this time but to keep it in mind as he grew. But E heard her say she was writing a prescription.....and since he has wanted glasses for some time now.....he was quite excited. So off we went to order his glasses. They arrived today and we zoomed up to get them.

The lady there was so sweet. She treated him very respectfully and showed him how to care for his glasses. So if he one day falls for a girl with a scorpion tattoo on her hand...we'll know why.

Snow Day

We went sledding in the morning....

And we went sledding in the afternoon......

this is where the boys like to have their snack after Sunday school...and after lunch a little nap

And the next day the boys had to use their lightsabres to attack an icicle that dared to be.

It's Raining Men

We went to a playdate today and the other incredibly lucky mom has four boys...add my two and that's a lot of boys.

Too Cool

E had his eye test today and they dilated his eyes so he got super cool sunglasses. A was not impressed that he had to get up so early....he didn't even make it out of his p.j.'s.

I got my camera out at TKD to catch them doing their green belt form.

Dumbarton House

The field trip was fun this morning. I loved looking at the house and the furniture during the tour.

The boys were less impressed with the house....but they liked the activity, writing with goose feather pens.

And they served tea with little cookies before we left.
