Bday Party

Boys were invited to a bowling themed birthday party today.

And Today

I was walking behind A yesterday and saw this little guy peeking back at me.

Today we took on the job of creating our own space station. This was part of our unit on Space and our trip to the museum gave us some great ideas.

I think we have all the bases covered for any astronauts that may want to go to our sector of the universe.

The Day After

Enough said.

Today we went to the National Air and Space Museum. It ties in well with our unit on Space.

A's favourite part was designing modules for a space station.

We also saw the 3D Hubble movie.....fantastic!!!

We did have to make one little side trip to the Sea-Air Operations exhibit.

I just loved this.....it really shows the relative sizes of the planets.

The kids have been asking me to create some little friends for them. This is a Jawa...from StarWars.

I have always called this crochet but I noticed as I looked online that it seems to be called amigurumi now. Anyway, here are some Mario friends.

And a couple of Pokemon. I made these for two of the boy's friends.

Christmas Eve and Day 2010

We asked a friend to snap a picture of us all together at church last night.

Here are the boys reading their Christmas prayer.

And back at home they got in their p.j.s.

Time to open a Christmas Eve gift.

And then this morning someone got underwear....and not from me!

Some gifts were a team effort.

Fits like a glove.

And oh yeah......E got two frogs.

There was a dino dig gift that produces a fair bit of dust. E had the solution to that.

Poke the Bear

So there he'll be just sitting on the couch when one of them comes over and pokes him. And the fight is on.

I don't understand it.

And I don't participate in it. But I do take pics.

We had to pick up a couple of things today before the stores closed. Who are these big kids?

And I finished the Mario characters that they wanted. Now I can start my blanket.

Weekend

We took a family trip to the Marine Corps Museum.

And unbeknownst to us.....Santa and his wife were there.

The kids saw a video on AFV a while back and they thought it was hilarious. So, they decided to try it on M. Luckily, I had the camera nearby.
