Do I have a problem coming? I have been working on our family budget for after the move. Word on the street is that grocery prices have gone up in the last three years. So that got me to wondering if I needed to adjust our grocery bill budget. Currently I have allocated $600/month for the four of us.
That includes breakfasts/lunches/dinners/snacks/cleaning supplies/papertowels etc. I tried to get an idea of what the breakdown would be and this is what I came up with for the four of us per day.
Breakfasts-$3 Lunches-$5 Dinners-$9 Snacks-$3 (M often takes leftovers for lunch so those will be included in our dinner costs but the boys and I eat lunch at home.)
What do you think? Do-able?
I think E was getting a little moral support from a friend while finishing his school work.
It's nice when we get across the street to play after M comes home from work.

We spend about 500.00 on groceries per month. I have started watching the flyers for deals to combat the rising $$$. This week 500gm of cheese at Basic Foods @ 4.44.
We eat lots of fresh fruits and we make 2 lunches X days a week.
I think your budget amount is good.
We spend less than 400 for the 3 of us. I always do up my grocery list based on what is onsale in the flyers and stock up on staple stuff, especially when it is onsale! I also make sure that there is fruits and veggies in the house especially in the summer. Your budget should be okay. I wouldn't worry.
