The Weekend of Hockey....but aren't they all

This was the ultimate hockey weekend of this season.

Not just because A, E and their cousin D each had a tournament.

But because our 3rd game was against D's team.

So much excitement. 

Luckily, Granny was on hand to get some pictures of the boys going head to head.

This much excitement was sure to draw a crowd.

In the end, we had 2 wins and a loss and then lost our quarter-final game.

D's team...?
They went all the way. Gold Medal!!

And, E's tournament was playing across town .....
...let's not even discuss the cumulative kilometers driven this weekend by fans.

One win, one loss and one tie.
And, E played like a Rockstar.

They've had a great season.

February and Still Snowing

Adm learned how to fill the washer fluid.

And, Erc .... he's just awesome. 

We love this place .... but the front yard forest had to go.

But, every time we planned to get 'er done the weather would turn bad.

Finally, we just had to seize the day.

Many hands made lighter work of a very big job.

Voila! 

And, once the snow melts it'll be even prettier.

January Update

Boys are still keeping their noses to the grindstone.

And, the weekends are still more fun when M is home .

Christmas Break

Last Christmas we chased the warmth to Florida.

This year, we embraced the winter.

Luckily for us, there were indoor games too.

Pool looked fun ... from where I was sitting in the hot tub. 😉

We carved out time to watch some junior hockey. Go Canada!

The Season

'Tis the season ....

... for pre-Christmas visits ...

... and fun times.

December

The hockey season is still all kinds of fun.

And, I channeled my inner crafter and created this trio for our front yard.

M and I got to hang out a couple of times ....

and he's just as fun at Costco as he is at parties.

Did I mention hockey? 

We had A's team over for a Christmas party. 

Plus, Charlie got a new sweater...and it matches his best friend's sweater! 

What a coincidence. 

It's a Racquet

One added bonus of our new Gym pass is the racquetball court. 

We play doubles and we're ever so slowly starting to be able to keep up a volley. 

It is definitely harder than it looks.

For the last few minutes I get the heck out of there and they go nuts trying crazy shots.
