hiii-yah

We made some yummy pumpkin muffins this a.m.

Don't you hate it when you're trying to do your work and the sun gets in your eyes?

After our last co-op class of the year we had a little more park time.

This kid just gets better looking every day.
The boys had the opportunity to break a couple of boards today in class.

E had great form for his sidekick.

Here he goes.

A was really pumped up about his experience.

GameDay

The kids and I rode our bikes up to TKD yesterday for their class. Three miles there and three miles back....whew.

Today we had our first soccer game. We played against another homeschool league.
I was able to sneak away for a minute to get a pic of A playing.
Wondering how E's games went? We lost the first 7-1 and lost the second 6-0.

NewStuff

We started a new unit of animals yesterday. I had the boys use some animal picture cards to try and group the animals any way they saw fit. It was pretty fun.
A has been working on a L_E_G_O set up for his castle stuff.

I went today to try and get new prescription sunglasses...and I found exactly what I wanted...but then found out they couldn't make them prescription.....grrrrr. I will have to keep looking.
This is a pic of E that A took at the store for glasses.

That great trip to the bookstore? The boys got a great new book.

Breakfast at the hotel.

A little time in the pool before we hit the road.

This is before leaving for church this a.m......doesn't E look great?

A wanted to make a diorama for his L_E_G_O guys so we started this project......

Off We Go

Time to go on our road trip.

We passed a fair number of these today.

Had a little stop for milkshakes.

Cool bridge pic.

And at long last.....the swimming pool.

After dragging them out of the pool we went to Applbs for dinner.

E asked me to snap this pic of the sun going down.
More fun to follow.......

What We're Up To

We all like nut-mix....kind of. They each like different elements of the one that I have been buying. So basically the last third of the container was raisins and discarded almonds. I decided to try and make our own mix. I bought a nut-mix at Cstco, peanut butter chips, MnMs, and choc.chips. Then the boys and I made our mix. We will have to refine the ratio of nuts to sweets.

The message I put on our edit board today pretty accurately describes my attitude today about school. With the weather turned nice....every moment spent inside is torture for us all.....

We did make it to the park twice today...before and after TKD.

Find the monkey.

The Best Yet

We have planned a cycling vacation during the month of June to Damascus, VA: Trail Town, USA. (It will correspond with the boy's birthdays.)

So I have been getting the kids to push their distance limits on their bikes. Today we rode up to the Trget store....about 6 miles...which for you Canadians (and let's face it, you're all Canadians!)...is about 9.5 kilometres.

Aaaahhhh

The kids and I found a cool new park when we were out on our bikes on Friday morning.

Daddy helped to calm the beasts while I looked around the teaching store today and had some stuff laminated.

Now all of the bugs in the computer are fixed. We even have our wireless internet back. Did I mention that my husband is a superstar??

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Well my husband is a genius and our computer is back working again. I have condensed all the pics from this week into this short video to get everyone back up to speed.

First you will see Grnny making sandcastles with the boys...that's A 'calling' Grndd to get building info....then there's Grnny starting school with the boys.

We decided to put in a flower garden this year and thankfully Grnny was here to help us make some good choices for the space we have....then we went back to the park.

E has started styling his hair in a different more edgy way.

The boys got to put their change making math skills to use on the candy machine at the bus station when we dropped off Grnny.

We had a great field trip to the pet store on Wednesday morning.

And then that afternoon we had soccer.

Sometimes in the a.m. I will leave little chocolates out for the kids to have when they get up early. I saw this a.m. that they had raided my chocolate stash and put some out for me.

We hit the park this a.m. in our p.j.'s to make an awesome sand castle.

Then they did a lesson on adjectives....with their guinea pigs.

We happened upon a costume today for A of his most favourite character right now....the dragon from that new movie. He wore the costume to Co-Op. And he saw some stickers at the store and asked if he could have them for his friends in class. Of course I said yes and he got to hand them out to his friends at snack time.

O.k. that's all that's new folks.....and I'm back on-line....whew!! Thank you husband.

Where's the Kiddos?

Time for a road trip just M and me.....no kids!!!

My driver.

Quite a house. So many historical people stayed here as guests.

Those are the blue mountains in the background. And at the time the first house was built this was the 'frontier' on the USA.

These are life-sized sculptures of the FourthPresident and his wife.
He was a very small man. Five feet four inches and very slim.
There was a beautiful formal garden.

In case you happen to check the blog to see pics of the kids here are a couple from this week. We made clay coins as a craft.

And on Friday we had our monthly bowling outing.

This is E pretending to fall asleep while he's waiting for his turn.
