Last Post Until They Return

These are pictures of the boys on the morning they left for a summer vacation.
I informed them that they are not to grow one millimetre while they're away!!
My thanks to A for his help the other evening.
We were able to get quite the dinner on the table ..... and cookies for dessert.

This Little Piggy

Here's some piggies.

And some little piggies too.
Another super day at a super place.
Thanks for having us out Seven Maples Farm.

Lazy summer days.

Parking Spot?

As a general rule I'm going to leave the driving of the new car to M.
(In the same way people have a rec. room and a more formal living room, we'll have the 'station wagon' and the city car.)
All that to say, I did drive the new car this evening to a meeting at the church.
Do you think M would approve of my parking job?

More Summer Fun

Summer Vacation Is the Best
Our fun usually revolves around the water.

We did have to cut our vacation short by one day so we could make it to the Medieval Festival in Osgoode. It's a bit of a new tradition around here ..... we went in 2013 and 2014.

Remember that caterpillar the boys found?
It was right on time coming out of it's cocoon.
I just couldn't help but put in these pictures that A took with the camera the other day.
I might be biased but I think he's quite a good photographer.

A's Eye

The day started out nice and lazy.

The camera was grabbed by A.
We spent some time with the chipmunks.
But we had heard that a nearby nature park, Gillies Grove, was the home of Ontario's tallest tree.
Only a 15 minute drive away and so much to see.

There was a gentle breeze that did a great job of keeping the bugs away while we hiked.

And then through the trees we spotted some water.
No more pictures from that part of the adventure though ..... we hadn't worn our bathing suits.
It didn't keep us out of the water .... but it did keep the cover on the camera lens!
Bonus Points for anyone who can identify what this critter is.
I'll give you a hint: it was in the water when we found it.
It uses a 'jet propulsion' system, pushing water out it's backside, to move in the water.

Wi-Fi Access = Picture Dump

First full day of camp ... first order of business .....
Boat.
The sound of their giggles carried over the sound of the boat motor.

When A wanted to push the envelope a little ... E took a break in the boat.
And when A got cold ..... E took his own turn.

Some pictures from A's Sunday softball game.
E was there to cheer on his brother. Yes, that's E in the hat with the foam finger on his head.
He's a SuperFan, what can I say?

I love this picture of A walking towards the mound getting ready to pitch.
So serious.

But when the game was over he was right back to being a goofball.
