Nice Wknd

They take Hallown very seriously in this town. And the rain stopped just long enough for us to go out trick/treatng. We told the kids they could go until they wanted to stop and after about 50 minutes they had had enough. (We had friends who live in the area join us for our walk...this is their little princess.)
And today was a very nice Sunday. We went to church, out for lunch and then to buy groceries.
E and I worked on some school work and Daddy read to A....at least until they fell asleep together on the couch. After the nap and dinner...there was a boardgame.
I read in a church magazine that making a thankful box is a good way to get kids to think about all they have to be thankful for. We created ours tonight and we'll add our thankful notes to it as Christmas approaches.

Fall Fun

We spent a few hours at a farm the other day with some friends. Way too much fun.

Butter Up That Bacon

The boys loved being able to pick what they wanted to eat. E's favourite?? Sausage wrapped in salami. A's favourite?? Cereal in chocolate milk.

More water shots.

On the beach at the sting ray island.

Before leaving for the airport Nana was able to do the boy's devotional time.--A having time with Kickie.

Yesterday the weather was great so we met with friends at the park for recess. E was the oldest kid there and he got all the younger kids playing a game that involved them chasing him. They loved it and so did he.
E caught me taking pics during TaeKwonDo today. Check out A's great side kick.
E's side kick is good but he needs to keep his eyes on his target! Check out those green belts.

State of the S.Union Address

I am a lover of lists. A lover of order and cleanliness. I am definitely just this side of normal when it comes to compulsive tidiness. Homeschooling has rocked my clean little world both because the kids are home more to make mess and because I have less time to clean. Nobody minds but me and I'm trying to adjust. Right now, post vacation, things are spectacularly in disarray.
There are things waiting to go upstairs. To-do lists to tackle.

Laundry waiting to be put away. Boat cushions waiting to be stored for the winter.
Suitcases to put away. A guinea pig cage to clean. Newspapers to recycle.
But I will not run around like a crazy woman cleaning. I will not ignore my kids requests to play to put things away. Deep breaths.......deep breaths.......

Guess Who I Am Today?

My A has always loved to play make believe. Every morning when A comes downstairs he says the same thing, "Guess who I am today." And then the guessing begins......and he doesn't give hints.
Sprman, Little, a guineapig, Alvin the Chipmunk, Mario, LukeSkywlker, Annkin, Bolt, IndinaJnes, Samson, the guy from Bakugan I think is named Dan, ObiOneKnobi. He is always the hero. I hope he keeps some of that as he gets older.

Today

While E was working on a letter to his penpal A asked if he could do the dishes. (He did a great job.)

And then these two silly people showed up for dinner.
