Christmas Dinner

Our little guy (who's not that little anymore) was super excited about Christmas this year.
It was very fun to experience it through his enthusiasm.
Christmas Eve and the table was set and the food was served.

So nice to see all the smiling faces together.
These four on the left are goofballs. Adorable goofballs.
K was on the dinner contribution list this year for the first time.
She brought homemade perogies ... and a date!

Everyone had a visit while the food settled.
Our Christmas Elves were full of giggles and wiggles.

We felt so blessed to share this day with family. Thanks to all who came.

Break

Here's my sweeties ... posing for a Christmas photo.
Wait a minute .... what's little brother up to? He thinks he can push his brother off the table?

But wait a minute .... maybe big brother is going to push back?
Oh yes ... he's in trouble now.

And since it's Christmas break .... the cousins have been able to spend some time together.
This is such an awesome picture of the four of them.
Love it. And love them.

Pre-Christmas Tuesday

Our thanks to the mom who hosted  the Kung Fu Class Christmas Party.
Eighteen kids and seven adults. We were quite the crowd.
Here's my smiley party boys.

But we had to scoot out a little early to make it to LittleA's school concert.
See him? Cute kid in the hat with the big belly?
He brought Augustus Goop to life.

Kung Fu, Friends and Food

The boys are still enjoying the physical-ness and the friendships in their Kung Fu class.
They are working on several challenges .... one of which is a jumping side-kick.

I exercised my inner Martha Stewart this weekend getting ready to have M's co-workers over for a Christmas come & go. Great people and yummy food.
This drawing gives you an idea of what the house looked like when we were ready for our guests.
Thanks for the drawing A.

Winter

The boys have been so happy to have some snow.

They have big plans to transform our backyard into a sled hill/igloo fun place.

That is of course if they can stay focused on task and quit throwing snow at each other.

And it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.

Learning

Not Christmas break yet. We're working away on our genetics unit.
Today the boys used coins to act as the decider for which alleles would be passed along if two bunnies (with Hh genes) were to mate.
Their answers allowed them to 'build' a bunny with distinct phenotypes.
I love these quiet nights.
I used to play this game when I was a kid and loved it so when I saw it at a second hand store I grabbed it.
It's kind of like .... multi-player 'Guess Who' .... but you ask questions from the cards.
We couldn't figure out why A was struggling to deduce our characters.
Then we discovered that it appears he has some gaps in his cultural learning.

He had the waiter one turn and knew that it was described as Oriental.
So, in his mind, the other two characters in this picture were also Oriental..... because they're all the same colour of course.

These three?
They're all white. Because .... their skin is white.
