All About That Boy

This week at school E had the Cardboard Boat Race Field Trip, a Religion test on Friday, two after school extra-curricular practices and a dentist appointment where he once again had no cavities.
However, because I'm not there to document his activities ..... this picture will represent E's week.

The last co-op session on the Renaissance was Wednesday and A did a great job playing the Dauphin in the skit that the older students presented.

We managed to snag a friend on a free morning and spend some time at the Museum of Nature.

'A' had been looking forward to seeing their special exhibit on Reptiles.

And there was a hockey tournament this weekend.
Lots of hockey.

He played amazingly (if I do say so myself).

And it was great for him to look into the stands and see so many smiling faces looking back at him.
Go Team!

Anatomy of a Boy Hug

I've noticed the boys, all three of them, show affection towards each other in an unusual way.

First, there's the capture.
Usually this involves someone being ambushed unexpectedly.
Second, there's the struggle.
This involves a period of wrestling, grappling, hollering and laughing.
And finally, the hug.
When they will finally relax contentedly near each other.
Boys.

Almost Monday

The big kid took a big test this weekend (for placement next year) ... results pending.
And the small kid ..... is still hanging out homeschool style.

We played an hysterical game of Telestrations on the weekend.
(Thanks for coming over K Family.)
And since a couple I know are enjoying the Florida weather .... I got to enjoy some kitty cuddles.

Pets

Although they're not technically back to school this week we had a field trip today ...
... to the Humane Society.
They decorated a cat house and saw the take-in process for surrendered animals.
Then we got to snuggle with some of the pets.
I was under strict instructions from M to NOT come home with anymore pets.
(Apparently, a bird, two guinea pigs and a dog is his limit.)

Jump

As per tradition, the boys were out to Granny and Grandad's for New Year's Eve.
And as per tradition, M and I did some organizing while they were away.
But we still have a couple of days left before our break is over so we're on an adventure.
Did you know there's an aquatarium in Brockville?

And there's a jumping wall .... which of course we tried! Twice!!
