Whew the Weekend is Over

We were back at the zoo today. And this time we had company with us.

It was cute to see the little guys running together. E spotted a great butterfly.

And lucky us got to share Big A's birthday with him. We had a pizza party and chocolate cake.

Elusive

A has decided that he doesn't want to have his pic taken anymore. But I finally wrestled him down and got some pics this a.m. after E went to school. And I do mean wrestled!!!

Ode to E

E was extra lucky today on his second day of school. Daddy was home and our friends are visiting so he had quite the escort on his way to school.

Daddy and Grndd started an N-scale train track that my boys are going to build up over the winter and E loves it. And he loves to run in the house.

We Went To The Zoo--How About You?

The elephants were getting dusty to stay cool.

The pandas were adorable.......E's little lizard really liked seeing his extended family.

Some Pics

The boys and I were excited to watch a storm blow in. It was the weirdest thing. There was no wind and no rain but lightning everywhere!!!

And this morning we did some doughnut math. If there are eight powdered doughnuts and four family members how many does each person get? (The correct answer is mommy gets three.)

Riddle Me This

Why is it that the kids prefer playing in the room off the kitchen instead of the playroom that has been specially set up for them????

P.S. I have to admit I like the company while I cook. For the curious here is the kitchen and the patio out front.

The Train, The Barber and The List

The kids and I went to the Metro and we had a really good time EXCEPT that our train ride lasted a lot longer than we expected and by the end of the ride they were pretty tired.

Then the next day we took them to a barber and they got the cutest haircuts. So of course I had to take a bunch of adorable photos.

And right now E is busy working on a list of things to do for us this Sunday. A boy after my own heart.....making a list.

Better

So yesterday was a bit of a challenge. M went back to work and the kids and I were really in battle mode with each other.
However, today is going much better. The kids seem a bit more settled(though they do keep asking if we live here now). We zipped over to the park for a play. I didn't meet any mommies yet but there were some very nice nannies there.

We made a map of the areas in our neighbourhood that we have explored so far.

P.S.I grabbed a card from our bread for the soul thing this morning and it said; "The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." -Psalm 18:28b That helped me take on the day with the right attitude!
