Cool Crocs..... :-)
Did you know:
Since the company’s inception in 2002, Crocs has donated over 2.5 million pairs of shoes to those in need. On February 4th, 2010 Crocs CaresSM teamed up again with UNICEF and the Panama Ministry of Health (MINSA) to donate over 6,000 pairs of shoes to the children in Buenos Aires, all in the area of Ngöbe Ñurum, Panama.
The Crocs CaresSM effort is to provide footwear to the most vulnerable children. MINSA reports that this particular community experiences the most malnutrition in Buenos Aires and much disease is acquired through the feet due to of the lack of shoes. Through the new educational program, Pasos Protectores (“Safe Passages”), MINSA’s goal is to reduce the rate of disease and exposure to the feet such as skin infections, parasites and cuts, among other diseases that are probable if children do not wear shoes. Each family receives information and education on the importance of using the footwear, and how Crocs™ shoes can help protect and prevent infectious diseases.
