Weekend Catch Up

We heard that the WoodrwWilsnBridg was going to be lifted on Sat. morning for a tall boat passing through. And it was a tall boat.....but I was expecting something bigger.

Here we are waiting for the big moment.

There it goes.

And they're up.
We gave M some quiet time on Saturday. We went and tried out some toys.

This a.m. on the way to church the boy's beaver toys stopped for a little snack.

After church and lunch at LaMad we went to the NationalPortraitGallery. It's the third oldest federal building in D.C. Construction began in 1836. (Thirty one years before Canada became a country.)

A caught me trying to get his pic while he was sketching.
These great stained glass windows were on the second floor.

They do love their G.Washngton down here.

The kids recognized this painting as NiagaraFalls.

This one had us cracking up. We were wondering how much it would hurt our feet to step on this jack.
There is a special exhibit of the NormnRckwell work. It was amazing but we weren't allowed to take pics.
