We had our monthly chess club meeting today. We learned the 'castling' move and 'en passant'. Any grandparents who want to challenge them might want to brush up on their skills. Eight kids for chess. Seven little siblings in the backyard playing. Lots of fun.
And this evening the boys had their joint cub/beaver BBQ. Can you spot A in this pic?
Aahh, wheelbarrel races.
After we put the kids to bed M did a little bonding with our new pet.
And, other than some play time with our neighbours before they left for soccer, a quick trip to the BulkBarn and zipping by our vegetable garden to water it after the BBQ, this was all we were up to today.

Of course I know which one is my sweetheart....the hands over his face. What is going on??? The boy next to him looks bored to death, and the one next to him looks like he has the world on his shoulders.
Interesting picture that is for sure. Kids, kids, and more kids and you know where to find them...at the Barefoot's house. The one stop spot where kids want to go and where I think the boys in the pic were longing to be.
Much love mom/nana
