Country Research

Here they are hard at work. We started our Latin workbooks today and had a good time with it.
We also started our 1st country research work. Every second week they will be randomly choosing a country and computer researching the pertinent information. (Capital city, population, continent, flag, national sport/animal/language.)
By the end of the year they will have researched about 40 countries and compiled them in a binder. If anyone wants to do participate let me know I'll send you the worksheet and as many country names as you need and put them in a bag. (That way there will be no duplication.) We can photocopy the countries they've each done and can get the kids together to swap/share research.
Today E pulled Hungary and A pulled Andorra.

Did you know Andorra is about the same size as Winnipeg? (measured in km squared)

I would love a copy of that worksheet for the countries. What a wonderful idea!
