Awe

Another location on our 'to visit' list was the Ontario Science Centre.

This place is remarkable. I'm not sure how many times we'll have to go before we've seen it all.

The look of awe on their faces as they explored was great to see.

 

I've included a number of pictures at this particular juncture because I just could not figure out how it worked. I think they called it 'angular momentum'.

Basically, you stand on a rotating disc and hold a bicycle tire in your hands.

If you change the tilt of the wheel in your hand .... it changes your direction of spin.

Why? I totally don't get how that happens.
