I'm Cool?

When I was about 12 my grandmother taught me to crochet. And I have made a lot of projects over the years.
Before E was born I made these little critters and attached them to a mobile over his crib. When A was born he had them over his crib.

Recently, while looking for patterns on-line I realized that crochet has become popular again in some circles. (Of course, it has been given a cool new name. And most of the creations are based on movies or video games.)
In the case of my boys, it's all about Mario. I made these for the boys and most of them are from that video game.

This is the latest. 'A' asked me to make him a Bowser. Nextup - a piranha plant for E.

Amigurumi (編みぐるみ?, lit. crocheted or knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.[1] Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features.[2]
